Can someone tell me which software can be effective block pop up ads ??

    Hi there

    May I know which software I should get to block up annoying pop up ads when I am using IE 6 with my Windows XP Pro system ??

    Please kindly advise.

    i use AdsGone
    i've tried others pop-up stopper too
    and AdsGone is my choice.

    Not to start a religious war but Pop-Aid, IMO, is the best freeware.

    you can also try popup cop they have a 30 day trial version. i am using that here and is quite effective and you can even adjust the settings so that sites you need to access that employ popups can be ignored so they still function properly.

    Popup Ad Filter by Meaya Software is the one that I use and it seems to work excellent.

    without a doubt Adshield
    they went comercail recently and are to pricy (can only be used with IE)

    It doenst say here last I checked but people can still use it but its limited in a couple ways, until registerd.( small block list)
    or the original version 1.2 can still be got
