My Computer shows hard drive that isnt there

    I hooked up an old hd and found it way to small(2.0 mb) so i removed it.Now when i open the my computer icon it shows it. It shows no volume and wont let me do anything to it. Im running xp. Thanks for any help

    Have you tried to remove it using device manager?
    Click on the "+" next to disk drives, right click the drive you want to remove and select remove.

    Thats the wierd part...it dosnt show under device manager or anywhere else..just under my computer.

    ehauff,

    Have you tried going into SAFE and seeing if it shows up in the Device Manager there? A lot of times things will show up there but not in normal mode. If it's there remove it and restart your system.
