    Hello

I have a bit of a problem. When im playing Flight Simulator 2002 it reboots my PC.

I have my latest graphics drivers

This is the specs of my PC

    Windows XP
    AMD Athlon XP 2000 +
    Radeon 8500
    Sound Blaster 128
    512 DDR Ram
    DVD-RW
    CD-RW
Gigabyte Mother Board ( Don't know version)

I cannot figure out what this is.

Oh and while im here i also have a problem when i shut down at night i try to boot back up the next day and it doesn't power the computer, i have to leave the plug out for about 10 mins and then plug it back in and it works fine.

This means unplugging the PC every night.

Any ideas on these 2 problems

    Turn off auto restart
    Control Panel/System/Advanced/Startup and recovery
    uncheck auto restart

Sounds like you may have a power issue. If Windows fails because of a power fluctuation, XP is set by default to reboot you. You can get into an endless loop this way.

Do you have a UPS? Is your comp on it's own circuit breaker? I wonder why unplugging for 10 minutes helps?

I have switched off the Auto Reboot.

It is not an a UPS but i do have a circuit breaker.

Do you think this boot up problem could be caused by a faulty power box?

Sometimes when systems get "brownouts" the power supply goes bad, and they start to act goofy. I live in an old house with mysterious and ancient wiring, so I put the comp outlet on a dedicated breaker. I used to use a surge protecter, but now I use a UPS ( Uninterrupted Power Supply) because I realized the whole house gets power fluctuations (I live in a rural area with a locally owned electric company) to level out what the comp receives. Oh, and my house often gets struck by lighting, so even the cable connection runs though a super surge protecter from APC. Telephone lines, too. If I do lose power unexpectedly, the UPS will shut down my comp without my help. Just food for thought.

hmmm... im thinking it's the computer power supply.
It's big enough for everything i have in the PC yes.

Just i think it's broke, or on it's way anyway
