    Hi all,

Today I came home from work and tried to check my e-mail, as is the norm for me. Upon 'waking up' the computer I noticed 2 things that were somewhat out of the ordinary.

Firstly, the computer told me that it was in "System Standby ". O-oka-ay.(?) But WHY - and how in "Hooter's" name did it get there? I don't have it set to go into 'standby'. AND, it hasn't done this on its own since way before my last "format" in March of this year.

Secondly (and this is TRULY WEIRD), my taskbar clock (TClockEx-enhanced) lost just a few seconds less than 30 minutes in the interim. I've been using TClockEX, along with InTime for more than 3 years without ever having a problem as far as time is concerned.

Any ideas or suggestions out there?

All will be entertained. :) TIA, y'all !! For those north of here - Thanks.

    Hi merlin,

    Win98SE
Until yesterday I had "System Standby" set to 15 minutes (now @ 'never'), "Turn off Monitor" set to 20 minutes and "Turn off Hard disk" set to 25 minutes. But . . . I haven't had the above mentioned problem for months (since a format) until yesterday.

It isn't really a 'big deal', so far, just one of those things to make you crazy and .

    Thanks for the reply.

I don't know ! Post move to HW forum ?
It seems more of a HW problem than SW.
