internet explorer closing on random websites?

Some websites when i try to go to them they just close out. I got the newest update for IE and it still happens. The websites that it closes out on contain javascript and im not sure why it cant handle it. Any suggestions on how to get it to work?

 

Have gotten the updates for IE. As far as Java is concerned, perhaps try the latest MS Virtual Machine (MS version of Java).

 

yea i have the newest IE updates and the newest java updates, this has been happening for a while since i got my computer, some websites just close out IE and wont display. Im not sure why the same thing happens in opera with the same websites so im kinda confused on whats going on.

 

I had the same problem with IE and once I remembered to run Spybot (always a good first step when dealing with IE problems), one of the spyware components if found must have been the culprit since I haven't had the problem since.

I am having the same type problem with IE closing when trying to access random sites. It even closed on this site when I tried to access a post. It will sometimes close on different pages within a certain site, like this one. Does this sound like it would be the same problem with spyware?
