How do I make my outgoing mail use Rich Text as my default option?

I keep having to go to Format and scroll down to choose it rather than plain Text jsut to get the options of font ,size and style available.

    Have you tried :

Tools > Options > Send > Mail Sending Format check HTML ?

If this feature is not 'holding in' you may need to repair/re-install OE

Which version of OE are you using - and on what platform (98, Me, XP?)
