 I talked with some tech @ Dell and I think I was talking to seven different people in seven different countries, and the problem still goes on ! I am no sure what is up but when I start my computer, it starts the nice music and the pass word box comes up and if I press cancel I can remove it. But it is a pain to do it every time. So I was told to come to this web site for help and I thought I found it until, #6 where it states to go on the change password tab, clickthe change Windows Password button, click OK then set a blank password. I don't have a change password button. I am running windows 98 xp. When I told the tech that he was confused and had no answer. Does anybody ?

Just forgot to mention, I also have this little thing called kscasino_min that pops up and I can't remove it ! I tried everything but shooting my computer. Help !:(

    HUH ??

Do you have 98 or XP ?

If XP gp to Contol Panel, select TweakUI/Logon tab and set it for Auto Logon.

    Worked for me.

    Hi there!

I don´t remember the exact words but I had the same trouble with a 98-box. The internet connection was set up to login as a "Network Client" and not "Windows Login ". The two passwords are not the same. Your Windows password is disabled unless You gave one during the installation. The one which is the problem is a network password which goes away when You choose "Windows login ".

This is how I remember it, not 100% sure though ......

In the control panel double click on network. Where it says "primary network logon" select windows logon. If it's already set to that try one of the others. Reboot the computer and when you're prompted for a password leave everything empty and click OK. After doing this you should be rid of it on the next boot. Be sure to click OK. Don't click cancel when prompted for the password.

98 xp still does not make senses but, the words " Password Box " and " Cancel " make it 98 or 98SE it my book.

XP has a logon screen which also can be minipulated to dissapear.

If using Win98. Delete ALL .PWL files in the Windows folder.

When the password box comes up just put in a name and select OK. Not cancel.

Then as mentioned before set logon to " Windows logon " and use tweakui ( if available ) to set auto logon.

After deleting the Yourname.Pwl, reboot. When the logon box appears, your name may already be there, if not put anything you want there. Do not put in a password, then press the Enter key, do not press ESC.
The logon window should not appear again.

    Try this

    http://www.comp-solve.com/LogonAtStartup.htm

I believe kscasino_min is a game. Did you look in add/remove programs to see if it is listed there?
Do a search for the program and see if it has an uninstall option.
You can also go to start, run and type msconfig. Click on the startup tab and see if it is listed there. If so uncheck it, click apply and reboot.
I think it may be spyware. Run a scan with Adaware
