Press sen email and SystemWorksPro check it?

I just installed SystemWorks Pro on my XP Home using OE6 and now when I send an email it scans it, supposedly for viruses?

Is there a way to stop it from doing that?

Yes you can stop it in the Norton Anti Virus E mail options, but why would you want too?
Scanning outbound mail has become standard procedure to keep viruses from slipping through and going out to all your friends.

 

I assumed that because it scans incoming that I obviously wouldn't pass, by replying, any on. Not so?

Open System Works
Click "Options "tab
Click on Norton Antivirus
Select "Email" on left side of window
Uncheck "Scan outgoing email
Click on OK

I leave mine on just to be sure I do not send out a virus.

I also ask the question.

Why do you want to shut off outgoing E-Mail checking.

It is just another helper in stopping the spread of a Virus.

And the more WE ALL do to help the better off WE ALL will be.

I posted it in the AV forum yesterday but there are two new and it looks like NASTY ones out.

And check for AV Updates. EVERYDAY. Norton had two yesterday. One early in the day and one Later.
