Hi everyone - I put this post under the XP heading 'cause I wasn't sure where else to put it.. I do run windows XP though :D

Anyhow -- Here is my situation: I am an audio engineer, and thus I obviously have a LOT of large audio (WAV) files on my data drive which contains many many hours of hard work. (All of my working audio files are containted in one folder, with sub-folders for specific projects.

I am looking for a GOOD backup program that will allow me to completely backup my "Audio Working" folder and everything underneath it.. Here's the thing: It needs to backup to CD (CD spanning) - I do not want to compress the audio to MP3, as you should NEVER do that (until you have a final cut that you don't plan on editing further)..

Do any of you have any recommendations? Any help would be extremely appreciated :)

    -Don

Thank you for the quick response, it is appreciated. However, I read the FAQ and it said the current version doesn't support disk spanning.. But the site said the next version would.

    :) Cheers

    Any more suggestions?

In my opinion u don't really need any adicional software besides the cd-recording software.
My advice if for u to always have a mirror of all your work, and to be even safer u can copy your work to cd's.

The problem with cd's is that sometimes u don't have time to be burning cd's constantly, so a mirror is a better choise.

Note : the mirror should be on another hard-drive, and the data should be compressed (safer agains virus).

This is what the adicional backup software does....

one more thing u can create a bath file to easelly make the mirror for u. if u don't know how to make a batch file, ask here, and someone will tell u, it's quite easy, u just need to say what it is for...

    hope this helps
