    Hi,
    Out of interest, can anyone tell me what information is contained in a jpg?
    ie, does it store in the code what program was used to make it, and any details about the 'putta used to make it??

    Hi Chris,

    A jpeg is basically an image file and contains only the compressed image data and no doubt the necessary algorithms to expand it back to full size.

    If the jpeg is created in a digital camera then, depending on model there is likely to be additional info stored in the file or with the file re. the camera, exposure details, etc.

    For an insight into jpegs do a Google search - jpeg stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group
