windows task manager and Registry Editor ahhhhhhhhhh

    when trying to bring up the task manager ( ctrl alt and delete) the window comes up for about a second and dissapears the same with the registry editor (regedit in 'run')
    please somebody help me:(

    If this is a brand new behavior, try reverting to a restore point from before the problem started.

    Otherwise, specify Xp-home or XP-pro and the service pack level.

    i restoed te pc and still no luck please help me:confused:

    If you have the install CD, try
    start~run~sfc /scannow

    At some point if it finds bad system files or notices missing system files, it will probably ask you to insert the CD.

    And unless your CD is XP-pro with SP1, you'll need to reapply SP1 after the sfc completes.

    i did this and the same happened the window came up and dissapeared so what now:confused:
