hey me 2, VMMD32.VXD??????

    i have this same problem. im doin a clean install, and somewhere in the middle where it tells u it has to restart, it restarts, then i get that error unable to load missing blah blah vmmd32. did anybody ever get this thing solved??? pls dont tell me i theres no way i can resolve this!! someone pls help this desperate newbie!!! :confused: :p

    One of the causes of this error during the install, is if you have the CD set as your first boot unit in the BIOS.
    If this is the case, change it to the disk drive.

    thanks for the quick reply, BUT i have a problem... this cpu was given to my mom and we dont know the password to get into the setup!! arghhhhhhhhhhhhh any way i can get around this? im bout to throw this out the window!!!! :rolleyes:

    ok, well, i was doin a clean install and i dont have a full o/s on there yet, so can i stil put that program onto a disk and run it in dos mode?sorry man, im a complete newbie... thanks for the patience... :eek:

    Yes they will run from a floppy!

    These programs cannot in fact run from windows.

    ok here it goes... ive been surfing through the net and stil cant find anybody that has found an answer to this problem.. :confused:

    Just found the instructions .

    This utility clears CMOS non-volatile, battery backed up RAM in your system. Misuse of this utility may lead to permanent damage. Use only once, if the immediate result is not as expected, do not run this utility again.

    After use, you will get "CMOS Checksum Error" in the POST screen (upon rebooting), enter CMOS/BIOS setup to change and save settings.
    Installation Notes

    1. Format a 1.44 MB diskette including system files to make it bootable (e.g.: FORMAT A:/S).
    2. Copy CLRCMOS.EXE to the diskette.
    3. Boot from the diskette.
    4. At the MS-DOS prompt type CLRCMOS.EXE followed by <Enter>.
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions.
