    Greetings and Salutations,

I have searched all over without finding the answer
to this problem and I need help desperately.

I have a laptop that windows xp crashed on.
I have not done a new install yet.

I have an adaptor that I put the 2.5" laptop drive in
and can access thru a USB connection on my Desktop
    as Drive "I ".

I can see and access everything on the drive.

I have alread moved my address book from the laptop
drive to the OE in Drive C on my desktop.

What I need to do now is recover all of my mail folders,
messages, email settings, and mail rules and move them.

I have done a search for files with a .dbx extension
and can see them but have not figured out how to move
them to OE on the Desktop.

My question is can this be done and if so how??

Also I would appreciate any and all advice and help
    in accomplishing this task.

    Thank you for your help.

    Sincerely,
    Gene Miller

If you can see inbox.dbx, sent.dbx, etc. Then just copy/drag&drop into c:\windows\application data\microsoft\outlook express. (it will overwrite what ever you have in the inbox) I don't think you will be able to save your message rules, email settings, just the messages. If that doesn't work for you, try this utility.
