I have a Daewoo computer with EP-MVP4F Features. It is 500mhz and 128mb memory SD Dram which 8 is used on board for video I presume. It has integrated sound and video.
My problem is this I have some games which some of the kids like to play one is Slingo by Hasbro the other is Yahtzee and both of these work fine except for the sound it works ok for a while than becomes all garbled and skips. Now I have the latest sound drivers installed and seems only these games and maybe some other board games such as chess and those types this also happens too. They are also installed on the hard drive.
The Yahtzee is installed on the computer so can`t be my disk the other one I use a disk in CD Rom
Could you explain what could be happening is it my sound card and would it help if I got a new one?
Another question which also has me baffled is certain things I use on my computer tends to make me get disconnected from internet also sometimes I just can`t get into it. The latest one being if I use the tax programme for this year and than want to go on the internet I keep getting disconnected have to restart my computer again what could be the reason for this or is everything all tied together. Problem that is??

I would say a definet yes.

I can not say for sure as I am not at all familiar with any OEM PC and/or Intergrated hardware.

But it sure reads like there is some hardware ( IRQ ) conflict(s) .

How to fix ? On that machine I do not know.

But I can say, " Slingo was a B**** to get working properly on my machine. " I wound up installing it to a partiion with 16bit format and then it worked fine.

I am having a hard time with my computer in general.I havegiven up on Slingo for the time being. Have some other things to find out. First of all I seem to be having trouble with my memory coming back why I don`t know I have 184 mg of SDDram memory installed actually 128 and 64 but 8 is used.
I went into my mother board on the internet and found their were three downloads for my BIOS that I probably don`t have. Am wondering if this would help my computer I am not sure about flashing the BIOS but printed out all the instructions and if I do as it says will it be alright should I write down all my BIOS info before I flash it and do I have to flash it for all three downloads to be installed..
One of the updates says it is ti fix the SDDRAM size detection issue. The other one is added support foreon en 29 F00nt Flash Rom and the last one is updated CPU PR rating for Cyrix 73/263pr 366cpu
updated ACPI to 1.0 B Fixed HDD detection correctly with lge mode. I am really unsure about flashing the BIOS but if it will help will give it a try.
When I say my memory doesn`t come back as when I go to play a game I have to restart computer after to get into anything else and the games are only games like slingo or Yahtzee or even just a game of solitaire. Also Have to restart my computer to go in on the internet. So am really confused why this happens.
