Is there a way to adjust the default size of a folder window when it opens. I have XP Pro and when I adjust the folder window size and reboot most of them go back to this large default size.
    Thanks:confused:

Usually for a particular app, opening the window, resizing it to suit yourself, and closing the app will change the size.

Otherwise you may need to get into the registry and tweak the setting for any app that uses a window size you don't like. Most will have the starting size set as a value there.

Thanks for the info, BUT in my original request I stated that it was "FOLDER" and "SUB FOLDER" windows and that I have on my desktop that will NOT hold their sizing. If there is a place in the Registry to adjust the default "FOLDER WINDOW" size please advise of its location and specifics on modifications.

    Thanks:(

Hi JMP - couldn't find anything in the registry so I have AutoSizer installed.

    AutoSizer 1.4

    Resize your programs automatically

AutoSizer automatically resizes any window you specify. For instance, some web browsers open up in a non-maximized window. Using AutoSizer, you can set those windows to automatically maximize every time they’re opened. It works with almost any program, including web browsers, Notepad, etc. AutoSizer stays running in the system tray (next to the time), so it stays out of your way while it works.
