I have a password "protection upon startup to keep the windows program from starting but eventhough I have set up a password there is still the availability to cancel the application of the password bax ad windows will start. I want this to keep my child from using my computer and use his own . How can I make it secure so that no one but one with the password can start my computer? help Please.

Windoews 98 is not a secure operating system, thus Cancel will grant access. You can secure the computer by setting up a password in the BIOS.

WARNING - write down the password and keep in a safe place because if you lose the password you losw access to the computer entirely.

This password prompt occurs prior to the operating system starting at all.
