    drazi.

I think you mean file - folders do not have extensions.

Cannot find any *.ufe files on my Pro m/c so guess it was put there by an application you loaded.

At a guess try starting in Safe Mode - Hit F8 on boot up and select Safe Mode. You may then be able to delete the file.

Try dragging it to the recycle bin, try holding down the shift key and then try to delete it.
You can also try creating a new folder and then drag that file into that folder, then delete the folder.
You can also try renaming the file or folder and then try to delete it.

sunny - double check that ending. I can't find any hint that .ufe exists as any sort of standard file. There is a variety of audio file (a dictation file) where the extension is the dictator's initials and playable by BCB Voice Systems software.

sunny & Geordie - if you really want to get rid of the file/folder things and safe mode doesn't work, you can boot to the recovery console and do a delete from the command line there. They should go poof and be gone for ever.

PeteC - while you are correct that a folder usually doesn't have an extension, you can create one that does. No idea why you would want to but it can be done.
