Downloading Service Pack 1

    I have XP Pro and as I tried to download SP1, my Dial-Up connection (Freeserve) disconnects every 2 hours. When this happens, the download stops and as I reconnect, it starts all over again. This way, I'll never be able to download the whole pack.

    Any suggestions?

    Contact M$. Am pretty sure you can get a cd for about 10 bucks.

    1. Use an FTP program which allows for interrupted downloads - can't think of one right now, but a search for 'FTP' on Google should bring up a few hits.

    2. Change your ISP !!

    You are far better off buying a current PC Magazine for a fiver or less and it should include the SP1.
