Two minor problems during startup. First, I now only have one
hdd; for a short while I did have two hdd, and the computer still
offers a choice of which drive to log onto (C: or D:) how do I get rid of this?

Another minor ittiration: Each time I start the computer I get the
start menu which starts thusly: 1) Normal 2) xxxx 3) Safemode
4)xxx 5) Command prompt only. The "xx's" are there because I
don't know what that line says, just now. Question is, how do I
get the computer to stop presenting this menu each time I start?

Any and all help sincerely appreciated!

    Thanks

    Del Hagan hagan953@earthlink.net

I suspect the boot disk entries in your boot sequence in your BIOS
still refers to the disconnected D: disk so BIOS does not know
    how to boot.
Please check the BIOS boot sequence and let us know.

Do you have a program installed that allowed you to choose which drive to boot from?
As for the startup menu option, go to start, run and type msconfig. Under the general tab click the advanced button. Take the check out of enable startup menu.

    boot menu

Hi Hagan953, If you have TweakUI installed, the option to show a boot menu for a user specified time is in there. Access it through the Control Panel | TweakUI | Boot | Boot Menu. I hope this will do it for you. Good luck, Clydeo22.
