I am using a Gateway Laptop Computer running Windows 98SE.

Lately I have been getting error messages such as:
    :Explorer
This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. Contact Program Vendor.

I have scanned and defragged Hard Drive and cleaned off may old programs and still get the error.

Does anyone know what I should do next:

    Thanks for the help.

When this happens click on the details tab and post the details of the error.

I would like to add one more thing. When I say OK, the computer doesn't hang up or shut down. I seem to be able to work on other applications.

Thanks, it seemed to work. I haven't been getting that error for the past few days.
