When I right click on a jpg file > properties > summary,
the dialog box opens to allow....

Title Subject comments etc. to be entered; all seems to work well but after perssing apply and oK All stills seems to be working but after closing and re opening the file, all fields are blank. I haved search the web, MS database and this BBS but found no solution.

    I am using WinXP Home

    Thanks all.....

    Rich

    Rich,

Works just fine on my XP Pro m/c - wonder if File Indexing has anything to do with your problem. Turned off on my m/c - just guessing :)

If you copy the JPG file to yor desktop and modify the properties there, are the changes saved?

Control Panel > User Accounts > Change the way users log on and off > untick 'Use fast user switching'

    Seems unlikely !!??!!!

    Sorry, rich ~

No further ideas - apart from a repair of XP.

On second thoughts I wonder if it has anything to do with File Associations?

What are *.jpeg files currently associated with?

I am not where my daughters computer is now (different city), so I can't check associations.

All files, any extension, that should accept a summary page will

not save info that is entered so associations probally are not involved since there would be many different executables involved.

Next time there I will try a xp repair.. thanks..
