I have netscape 6.23 and Operating system is 8.6 for Mac. My email provider is attbi.

I have problem where i get new mails and click on them the body of the email shows as blank. However i know this isnt true. All i have to do is close the messenger program and reopen it and im able to view my messages.

Has anyone else had this problem. I have allready tried deleting the msf files and created a new profile. This doesnt fix the problem.

    Please Assist

    Thanks

    D1 Newbie

    d1newbie,

Netscape 6.xx is full of problems. I would suggest installing Netscape 7. You can find the instructions for a clean install here.

That is most likely a coding problem in the browser itself.

There was a bug filed over at bugzilla for a similar problem last year. (6.23 is based on buggy beta code that is at least a year old now, since Netscape is always a few months behind Mozilla).

Best bet would be to upgrade to 7.

I came across the following in the Netscape7.windows newsgroup. It seems that other attbi users are also having Netscape e-mail problems and you might want to check with AT&T's online support:

Right now there are about 5 of us who have the identical problem. AT&T
has acknowledged the issue via online support with at least one
individual. We also have deleted the .msf files, etc. as you have
    suggested to no avail.

    Hi D1newbie,

There are many users experiencing your problem with the ATTBI Server. Eudora users also seem to be experiencing some problems a well. You might be interested in reading two Bug Reports, and several Newsgroup Threads, listed below. There are some interesting reads here:

Some users reporting, as you will read, that ComCast seems to be working on this problem region by region.
