Word 2000 - page of page problem

I've created a document which in the footer which has the page numbering on the document. Ex:'page 1 of 2'

On the document, it shows page 1 of 2. But when I print the document, the print out shows page 1 of 1, page 2 of 2. Not page 1 of 3, page 2 of 3.

I have Word 2000.
Need help.

Try clicking on insert, page number, format. Put a checkmark in "continue from previous ".

 

that option is already selected.

 

I used to know how to fix this but can't recall. You might look at
