This is so frustrating

    Can someone explain to me why I can't access http://localhost while working offline?:(

    Hi Jim,
    Thanks for your interest. It's a workstation with Windows 2000 Professional installed. It may be because only certain components of W2000 were installed by whoever had the machine b 4 me. Maybe IIS wasn't properly installed. Must try reinstalling.

    Well my experience with such problems is that often it is some silly mistake,
    what i would do is open the IIS Console , and click on the file you want to view with right mouse click and select "view in browser "
    or "Open in Browser" you will see when you do the right click,...since i have the german version on my PC i dont know what would the word be in english.....
    and then if it works you can check what comes in the browser address bar, and compare it with what you are writing
    .....hope it helps:p
