Not all fonts shown

in C:\Windows\Fonts I have 92 fonts. (.fon and .ttf)
However, in apps that give you a choice of fonts eg Winword.
HTMLEdit etc, I only get a choice of about 20 of them.
I cannot register the fonts via Control Panel.
What to do
Who knows ?

If you're using Word 2000, take a look at this MS KB article, Fonts Are Missing from the Font List. It also contains links to other articles dealing with font problems.

I had already been there and found the mix-up with 98SE and
Office 2000. What a mess MS have made with this one !
It is 90 % solved now.

- where are the GDI fonts ?
- in what registry key are registered font names stored ?
