I have a striped 40 Gb RAID array on my current MB.
    9 Gb C: , 30 Gb D:
I have Win 2K running on C. I'm moveing to a new 64 bit board and thus am also makeing the move to XP (grumble grumble) I want to wipe C but keep a bulk of files on D.
My question is, will i lose my array in the move to the new board?
Feel like I should know this one....

    Thanx P

Is this onboard RAID or a PCI card like a Promise 100?
If it's on board and the new board has the same controller then maybe.
If this is a seperate controller that you are moving to the new board I would say your chances are better.
If this is onboard and a diffrent controller then your *******.

It is a Promise TX-2.....PCI card
However since the org. post I've been wondering if rebuilding the array on the new sys. wouldn't just be a good idea, not that the old one was faullty.... just for the sack of a truely FRESH start.
With the promise card its only what, another 15 min. of work....
I think I can handle that!
