i have got a PIII 1.0GHz at work, everythings seems to be fine except My Document folder.
while you want to change folders it will takes to much time, but changing folder in any diffrent volume for folder is fine.
    any idea.
and i am using 256MB DDR, Win98SE, Norton Antivirus, Internet Security.

Another thought. How big is your My Documents folder? If it's very big, that will slow down the loading of it. Maybe a room cleaning would be in order, or moving some stuff to another folder.

Wonder when was the Temp folder last cleaned out?

If you have floders within folder, etc you should be ok, but if you have saved everything to your MY Docs without subfolders, I suggest doing so. Makes a big difference. Mine is just over 2.1GB in size.

I have also noticed that since I put the My Documents folder on another partition, & removed it from the C drive, it works better, & faster. Don't know why, but it does.
