Periodically, the Status Line above the taskbar indicates, "Error on
Page ". Sometimes, the page will continue to download anyway,
    but other times it won't.
Would appreciate knowing what creates the message.
    Thanks
    Jack

That means that there is an error in the code which creates the web page you are accessing. If it is minor, you will see the page anyway. If it is major, you may not.

Yes, the error message usually means that the writer of the page has made an error. Nothing you can do about it, but hope you can still read it, which usually is the case.

Just for a laugh, the custom portal at http://my.lycos.com has had errors of one sort or another for months. The page loads in IE, but gives errors in all browsers I've tried. You'd think a place as big as Lycos would have better code.

Thanks to all for your responses. Certainly not a major problem but something I haven't encountered in the past so I thought I would check with the experts.
