files appear in cookie files

    I have a computer with Win 98 & IE 6. I deleted all cookie files & now when I go to any web site where the cookie files were it will import many files into the cookie file folder without command from me (they appear to be IE files images et) What gives?:confused:

    Are you by any chance looking in Temporary Internet Files - if you do you will see both cookies and IE files!

    Suggest you go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Security and tick 'Empty Temp Internet files ..... '

    Yes I am looking in temporary Internet files. I had some other problems with this computer which has got me gun (computer) shy. Thank YOU for setting my thinking right & relieving my unnecessary fears. :)
