 Every few months (varies, maybe 2 to 4 month span) all messages disappear from my OE6 folders. I can retrieve some but not all via importing back from HD. This has happened maybe 5-6 times in last 2 years. I simply can't find the problem. I've tried several things and won't go into details here (too long). It is not a space problem; running XP 512MB memory. I am looking for any and all suggestions. Thanks very much.

OK, thanks, Brett. I believe I've found the problem. I won't know for some time. It may have been when using one of the utilities in Nortons (WinDoctor) which may have ******* up some of the mail folders. Appears so. At least everything is still there, but scattered among several folders.

I would suggest you take backup of your data, from time to time. As that would atleast help you recover some of your data. You should copy the OLE folderas whole.

Daxer, thanks for your reply. I do have all mail backed up on CD's. The missing messages to which I referred are from my HD and I just import back into OE when lost. I can still get them from backup, however. Just more hassle.
