I'm looking for a good antivirus that is compatible with Windows 2003 Server Enterprise. I have tried a few like Norton and PC Cillin, but they don't install. Any suggestions?

I haven't looked into 2003 Server yet. It seems these should work!

    Try Computer Associates InoculateIt.

What does M$ and Symantec say about compatability?

Let me know what you find out here!

    I just purchased 2 2K Server Os's a few days ago.

Didn't even consider 2003 until it has more field experience.

Thanks for the reply. Remember when I was going to install windows 2k? Well I decided to go ahead and install 2k3 instead. 2k3 is amazing! But anyway...whenever i go to install it says it can only be installed on workstations and not a server OS.

    Hi Midz

I thought I recognized the name.

    I reviewed the other thread.

You did not mention Server in that thread.

Are you running this at home on a single computer or a small business network?

    ??

    Hmmmm

    No expense spared!

You know that 2003 server is not really 2k based but , although not called that it is really XP server.

Well anyway you have it so you need to contact Norton or Computer associates to see about a Server version for Server 2003!

In the meantime you may want to try the best free AntiVirus product. And I would not be surprised if works.

It is AVG antivirus. See this thread for insight and you may decide you don't need or want Norton anyway. Read this thread ignore the parts about removing Norton as you can't install it anyway.

    Get AVG here

    More Info?

You mean 2003 server works, I thought that would.

Or have you had time already to install AVG and it works?
