My OS is Win 98 First Edition.

How do I get rid of useless application entries found in the Startup tab in System Configuration Utility? I've uninstalled some apps but there are still [unchecked] entries <found in the Startup tab> for the now absent apps.

Do I have to edit something in the Registry to do this? What specifically?

    Thanks,

    Stan

In order to download "Startup Cop" one has to pay for a subscription, so, at Nonags, I found a freeware one called "Starter ". I'll see how this one works for me.
