attachments.

Hi. Everyone, A friend in Canada is trying to send me a fairly lengthy poem via attachment in e.mail using Outlook Express. When I open the attachment it loads to Word Pad and is in computer language. I use IE6 and Outlook Express. Can anyone help as we must be doing something wrong. Many thanks in advance. It sounds like you dont have the program to view this attachment. What is the file extension of the attachment?

 

Hi. aleekat, Thank you for your reply. I have checked the properties of the file and the only info is that it is a type PPS file. I cannot see anything relating to file extension. Regards, Williamdp.

 

A .pps file is a Power Point file. You'll need the Power Point viewer to open it.

You can download the Power Point viewer from http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/Ppview97.aspx - the link to the download is about halfway down the page.
