Last year I posted a plea for help in getting rid of the Spool 32 error message, pop up window. There is no set time for when it appears. It is there when I log online evey morning. It is there when I use MS Works to print, It is there off and on throguhout the day.

Last year I was offered a link to Microsoft where I searched for soluton but none of them worked.

I was hoping that by posting this problem again there may be an update someone knows about,.

You don't by any chance have a Lexmark printer? I used to get this error and solved it by removing 3 programs from the Startup Tab in Msconfig. They are Lexstart, Lexprintray and Lexupmon (or very similar spelling). It doesn't affect the printing and it slightly speeds up the loading of Windows. I hope this helps.

Even if you don't have a Lexmark printer, it's worth looking at the StartUp Tab and see if there are any similar sounding programs - it won't, obviously start with LEX but it may have a similar ending.

If you untick something that screws the computer up just reset it.

    Good luck

Does Windows Me allow you to view the details of error messages? The details might be helpful, for example:
"Spool32.exe has caused an invalid page fault in module kernel32.dll "

If you have a faultlog.txt (TweakUI lets you enable a faultlog) you can open the faultlog.txt file and copy the exact error message here.

Also list your model printer and what applications are running when the spool32 error occurs (check with Ctrl/Alt/Delete) since that information might also help.

ON applications that might interfere with printing, I seem to remember antivirus as a possible culprit. You could temporarily disable your antivirus before printing to see if it helps.

If you post your list of running programs here, someone may spot something.
