    Does anyone know the reason why I do not have the option to delete this hotfix under add/remove programs or another way to delete or disable this hotfix?

    aceee - is that a typo? The Update is Q811493 which should be in Add/Remove Programs - don't think M$ have reached the 9's - - - YET!

    Yes sorry it is a typo. Supposed to be Q811493.

    Ok - I don't know how helpful this is, but :

    Start > Help and Support and type in 811493 in the Search box > click the arrow and then Microsoft Knowledge Base at the bottom of the pane.

    The second of the two references which come up refers to un-installing Q811493 - 2 methods are given, the Add/Remove Programs route and a command line route.
