I have a high speed internet connection coming in via a Belkin ethernet pci card.
With some regularity the connection will drop. Sometimes it will restore itself.
Other times when I run the repair function, nothing happens.
I must reboot the system in order to get my connection working again.
I have had this high speed internet for about a month now, the vendor claims they are not having problems.
This is a new card and I downloaded the latest drivers for it.
I contacted Belkin and they have not responded.
    Any suggestions??

You didn't say what your connection was. If it is cable, call them. They can lead you thru a diagnosis of every element, starting from their node, thru your cable modem, and your ethernet card, and your settings.

My connection is a new WI-FI installation.
They claim no one else is having this sort of problem.
They have only had the WI-FI system for just overt 2 months.
I get great download and upload speeds (normally 1K down and 800 up).
Sometimes the system seems to be up for days at a time.
    I am running:
    Win XP Pro
    AMD Athlon XP 1900+
    512 Ram
    80 MB HD
1 Belkin PCI card (F5D5000) 10/100 ethernet card connected to Wireless internet antennae. Internally this is listed as Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NCI
1 Macronix MX98715-Based Ethernet Adapter (Generic), this is for my local lan for another computer and a laptop sharing this internet connection).

Have you checked your event logs for errors at the time your connection drops?

Right-click the My Computer icon and select "manage ". Click on Event Viewer.

You will have application, security, and system logs.
