Problem printing envelope with Word 2000

I'm having trouble printing envelopes in MS Word 2000. I open the envelope print tool, get the To address and Return address correct, click on options and select the correct envelope I'm using and the proper feed. All other settings are on "auto" and print the envelope.

The return address prints at the bottom of the envelope (it's like the envelope feeds past the print head about 4 inches too far) and the To Address is not even on the envelope.

I've tried selecting different feed options like from portrait to landscape and in every case I either get the To address or the return address not both because it tries to print outside the envelope and what does print is not positioned properly on the envelope. I tried setting the spacing down and over but that had NO affect on the printing. Heck, it even shows a picture of how the address is supposed to print on the envelope but of course it isn't printing correctly.

I've printed envelopes sucessfully in the past but I must have changed something but haven't a clue to why this is happening.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Have you been through the Billy tutorial ? Or perhaps this site?
Sorry, I've not got a definitive answer for you......as it could be so many things. Are you choosing to print preview, before you print?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Ya know, sometimes I think I must be dumber than a stump. I was reading away on the first link you sent and their theme was basically look at your printer instructions. So I did and was surprised to find that there are 2 places I have to tell the printer that I'm printing an envelope. Must be part of the continuing harassment program. As they always say... R.T.F.M.
