I am using IE6 and when people send me attachments they are not highlighted. Looked under Internet Options and could not see anything. Why is my attachment not highlighted ?

Can you explain what you mean by "not highlighted "? The term escapes me.

When I open IE6, then open an email with an attachment, the "save" attachment in the right hand corner is not highlighted for download or viewing.

You must be using a preview pane where the attachment (paper clip) will allow you to open it or to save it wherever you want.

Is the paper clip not there? If you click on it does it open the attachment?

BTW, using the preview pane is a security issue concerning trojans and virus as I understand it.

If you turn the preview pane off, you can right click on the attachment and pick save as...

I just found the problem. In Internet Options under "Security" the box was checked for "do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that might contain a virus "

I unclicked the box and now I am getting attachments fine. Thx for your help.

    :D :p :p
