I keep getting the same persistent pop-up with start up,

    "Display.exe - No Disk

There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into the
    drive\Device\Harddisk3\DR12 "

I have to click the "X" at least twice to get rid of it.

    What is it?

Is this ligitimately from my computer or delivered by MSN Messenger? Is it just an advertisement? Is it a result of some application that I downloaded?

How do I get rid of it permanently?

This is probably not a Windows program, but could possibly be related to a video driver. This is a not uncommon file name, from ImageMagick to drivers.

Download and install the Startup Control Panel:

    http://www.mlin.net/files/StartupCPL.zip

Then, go to your Control Panel, Startup applet and look for display.exe in the startup. You can then disable it or delete it (Startup CPL keeps deleted items so that they can be returned, if necessary). There should be information about where the file was (is) located and what application it belongs to.

    Thanks Abraxas and June,

I think June has hit this one dead on the head. She wrote:

I do have an APC PowerChute battery backup!

I still am a little confused as why it keeps telling me there is "No Disk ". It is saved to my harddrive. Do I need to save some type of backup for my backup? The Power Chute pop-up tells me that I am protected with each startup also.

I am a newbie using Windows XP Home. My Medion 2.66 Pentium 4 has no floppy drive. Could the lack of that drive be causing the popup?

Thanks June, I only found "APC UPS status" checked (location common startup) Everything seems to be working fine; I guess that I will just ignore and close the popup. If I go changing anything, I may just mess something up. It's not broken; I guess that I won't fix it! :)

    Thanks for all your help!

    :)
