I'm running Windows XP. Would like to partition my hard drive without purchasing 3rd party partition software. Would be fine with the old fashioned way of fdisk, but I don't have a floppy drive for my laptop. I also don't have the original Windows XP setup disk, all I have is the System Recovery discs that came with my HP, which has XP on it, but doesn't give me the option to partition like XP setup does.
I haven't been able to find the information to allow me to do this anywhere, but it seems like there should be a way!!
Any help will be most appreciated!!

I realize you don't want to use 3rd party software...But, using Partition Magic from Powerquest is very easy. Nice user interface so it's not too mind boggling.

    A word of caution!!
Most HP laptops already have a hidden partition for system recovery. BE CAREFULL!!

I got tired of spending hours on trying to figure out how to do this without 3rd party software, so went ahead and downloaded a Partition Manager from ZDNet. It did the job I wanted very easily and quickly, which is what I should have done in the first place....
    Thanks to those who responded!
