how to fix a corupt hdd

    i have 2 61.5 gig hardrives and there corupt.
    there set as slave drives and i dont care about any data loss, help wud b GR8LY apresiated (sorry for rong spelling)

    on dos after formatin,it works untill u choose a name for it. then it sez sez :

    creating file system structures
    the second NTFS boot sector is unwriteable
    format failed.


    anyone know whats rong?

    Do you have to use the NTFS file system? Try FAT32 if not. Try booting PC with a WIN98SE of WINME boot disk and the run FDISK and delete non-DOS partition the create new partition. Restart with boot floppy and format c: /s

    You need to go to the manufacturer's website and download their tools for their drives.
