It just happened again when I was working in Pagemaker, while I had the Media Player open - The machine just reported the error, and then restarted itself.
Yesterday it happened when I started up the machine - I am baffled

Uninstall sound blaster drivers in safe mode, restart, and reinstall.
If you don't have a sound blaster, update to WMP9 and the full codec package.
If you already have WMP 9, get DX9.
If you already have DX9, check windowsupdate.
If you've already done that, uninstall pagemaker and reinstall.

That's all I could find on that stop error.

I now have a complete blue screen with the message
STOP: 0x000000E3 (0X80548DE0,0X827CE790,0X00000000,0X00000Does this make sense to anyone out there

It's happening with different programs - this time I was trying to download a driver for a HP Scanner

There is lots more information on the blue screen and most of the top part is needed to make sense of your issue.

You might try looking in your event logs. They will often had an english translation of the blue screen error.
