New File ??

    Does anyone know what this is or where it comes from...

    Every so often I get a new file on my desktop. It just appears. I can't see any pattern of when it does it, but the file name is

    ~

    and that is it. I tried to open it, but I am not sure what program to use (it asks). I tried wordpad, but just got a bunch of squares and stuff.

    Does is seem to appear whenever you make deletions and other changes to your Address Book in OE?

    ya know .. I just reread the file , and with all the squares it has my E-Mail names ... so I guess ,

    That is a slight bug with OE, you can safely delete it, sort of an backup. In 98SE, or at least with mine it appears at C:\ , rather than the Desktop with ME.
