Thinking about buying one of them mouse-pen things, dont know much about them, hence the confused title. :D

Anyways, I just wanna know if theyre worth it, Id want to use it mostly for Photoshop to draw etc, so are they compatible with it? and is there any "good" ones out there, and any "bad" ones that I should look out for. Are they compatible so you can have your mouse installed as well as the "mouse-pen thing ". How do they connect to the tower? Im presuming USB?

If anyone can shed any light on them it'd be much appreciated.

Any UK Online Shops selling them would be great too.

    Thanx. :)

I've had one for about three years (Wacom UD0608R) which is fairly outmoded but which does exactly what I want it to do. You can get a nice sharp outline on a part of a picture you want to cut and graft or lighten/darken/whatever.... great for masks and effects. Also super for taking out a background right up to the edges of the image you want to reserve... very precise when picture is enlarged on-screen.

They take a bit of getting used to but after a while it's like holding a drawing pencil and it beats any other kind of pointing device all hollow. Download the latest driver from WACOM's site to improve functionality.

They're available all over the place, but be cautious about gettingone from Ebay... those are usually up for sale for a reason. A remainder store is much the beter idea.

Mine connects via the serial port and has a little plug in it for the 12v adapter (yes, you need yet ANOTHER outlet somewhere near the confuzer) but I'm sure later models can connect via USB.

    Highly recommended!

Thanx very much. Think I'll purchase one then. :D

What price range should I go for, remembering that its Sterling not Dollars in the UK. If youre an American that is. ;)
