    I have windows 2000.
When I send out mail with a picture or cartoon ,the person receiving it gets a square with a red X in the upper left hand corner, where the picture should be.
Some of my incoming mail has the same thing. Any ideas what this could be ? Thanks.

Are you using outlook express? Is the person receiving using the same? Are you using pictures "attached" or "inserted" ? :)

    Thanks folks,

I went to the sight and followed what it said....Tools.....Option..Send ....clicked on HTML settings and check marked " Send picture with email." Everything is back to normal again.....Wonder how it got unchecked .

I have outlook express 5... should I upgrade to 6... Where would I go to do that ?.... and what are the benefits of doing it ?

    Got another question for you.
When I save pictures they also go onto my wallpaper list. What am I doing wrong there?

    Thanks again.

An aside but thanks Jayt36 for the point to Infopackets. Looks like something a perennial newbie like might be able to use.
