MSIE Error after 813489 install

    I know ... I shouldn't have done this, but I installed the 813489 MSIE 6 SP1 update (WinXPH, Norton IS/AV) and since then get error:

    AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName: unknown
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 01382020

    Following recommendation on this forum, uninstalled the patch via Add/Remove Applet (Norton disabled), however, MSIE still aborts with same error.

    Curiously, NetCaptor browser continues to function OK.

    Also installed 330994 MS OE 6 SP1 patch and OE seems to be working OK.

    If my only remaining alternative is to reinstall MS IE how do I do it? Just download from MS and run install (i.e., no prior MSIE uninstall)?
