This morning when I started my computer the taskbar had changed. Yesterday on the left end I had the IE icon and a small white triangle. I could click the triangle and bring up the items in Quick Launch.

Today the IE icon and triangle are gone. I can right click on the taskbar, select Quick Launch and another taskbar appears! I can't get rid of the double taskbar, when I try dragging it just goes off the screen. The only way to remove it is uncheck Quick launch.

I have read and tried everything in Help. I tried rebooting.

Has this every happen to anyone... and what did you do to correct it?

My computer is 2 months old and came preloaded with XP.

This is two screen shots pasted on one, showing the normal tasbar (missing the IE icon and white triangle) and the double taskbar with Quick Launch enable.

    Thanks :)

Well, I've studied both images for a minute and can't see a "white triangle" in either one. I'd suggest you try taking the easy fix and run System Restore selecting a restore point just prior to this trouble.

    In my post:
"showing the normal tasbar (missing the IE icon and white triangle) "
    Or maybe I wasn't clear.

Thanks for the suggestion.. I have never used System Restore.. I will check it out.
