I am trying to install a program that I downloaded called Favorites Home Page. During the installation a popup window appears saying: Input Error- Windows Scripting Host. Unknown Option- "//e:jscript" specified. Any Ideas on what this means? As always, thanks for your help. Michael

Open a DOS box and enter wscript //?

Displayed should be a list of options one of which is:
//E:engine Use engine for executing script.

WSH comes as standard with 98 (SE certainly). If you get a 'bad command ...' then come back - you may NEED to reinstall WSH.

gammaepsilon, I did as you suggested and there is no //E:engine Use engine for executing script. How would I go about reinstalling WSH?

This is the latest version and is an all embracing install ie all documentation is included; unlike earlier versions when we had to download separately. You'll get WSH and both the js and vbs engines.

I've just downloaded fhp.zip, installed it and executed it. It worked fine - I'll keep it!

    Never seen your problem before.

Goolged 'RPC Stub'. Looks like your installer is playing you up. Not my area of expertise.

    Go here & good luck.
