Certainly. Glad to tell you. But first

    - XP-home or XP-pro?
    - If XP-pro, domain or workgroup?
    - Do the other users you want to have access currently have to login with username & password when they boot up?
    - Do you need to do this in a fairly secure fashion or will they be pretty open shares?

    Thanks!

I have XP pro in domain! I found some answers in your old post. It helps me a lot. I know how to create a PW.

Could you give me some suggestions for following configuration with most security?

I have two PC, PC1 and PC2 (all with xp-pro) in my office. PC1 with two network card (NC). One NC connect to my company network and the other NC connect to PC2. I want to share files only between PC1 and PC2, but want to hide my resources name in work group, so that others could not see them.

Could I creat two work group name? What is most security way?

    Thanks!

Errr - if you have a domain, you won't have workgroups.

And the approach you are asking about is a 9x/ME sort of thing but done differently on NT/2K/XP.

But if all you want to do is hide the shares, just end the share name with $ and it won't be seen. You can connect to it but you would have to know it was there and under what name.

For instance, if you have a folder on PC1 MyGoodStuff and share it as GoodStuff$, no one could see it from PC2 but you could get to it easily from PC2 by going to the start button and selecting run then \\PC1\GoodStuff$.

With XP-Pro and a domain, you cannot be using simple file sharing (good!!!) so you can further protect the share by going to the folder on PC1, and right-click~properties~security and remove all users and groups except your account and the administrator account. Then no one else can get to the folder no matter what. Even logged on to PC1 and they can't. Caution - there is an option to Deny access to various users and groups. Avoid this one. Just remove the ones you don't want there.
