unknown extension on file . . .

When trying to download the freeware Spybot, I get the following msg & can't go any further:

unknown extension on file c:\windows\tempor~1\content.ie5\atiuz9sy\spybot~1.exe

I get a similar msg when trying to download the AD-AWARE freeware. Does anyone know how I can remedy this? Thanks.

It sounds like you might possibly have a Trojan on your computer that is preventing you from downloading certain programs.
